How video poker works
Video poker is based on five-card draw poker, played against a paytable rather than other players.
- You place a bet and receive five cards.
- You choose which cards to hold and which to discard.
- The discarded cards are replaced with new ones.
- Your final hand is paid according to the paytable, from a low pair up to a royal flush.
Your choice of which cards to hold affects the result, which is why video poker rewards players who learn the basic strategy for each variant.
Speedy Tomatoes variants explained
- Jacks or Better 4000. The classic variant, where a pair of jacks or higher is the lowest paying hand.
- Tens or Better SideBet and Nines or Better Triple Win. Versions where lower pairs already pay, with extra bet options.
- Aces 6000. A variant with a focus on special payouts for aces.
- Deuces Wild. All twos are wild, which changes the paytable and the strategy.
- Double Joker Side Bet. Jokers act as wild cards, with an optional side bet.
- Kings and Queens. A variant built around high court cards.
- Louisiana Double. A variant with its own paytable and bonus rules, explained in the game info.
- Kansas City Lowball. A lowball game where the lowest hand wins, turning normal poker logic upside down.

Tips from our team for Speedy Tomatoes games
- Start with Jacks or Better. It is the simplest variant to learn.

- Check the RTP in the game info. In video poker, RTP assumes optimal play, so real results depend on your decisions and on chance.
